Ben Bilton
BEN BILTON served for eighteen years as an Assistant State’s Attorney in the Real Estate Tax Litigation Section of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. During his last five years at the State’s Attorney’s Office, Ben was the Supervisor of the Real Estate Tax Litigation Section, overseeing a team of Assistant State’s Attorneys tasked with representing the County taxing officials in various types of litigation. Ben has personally handled a wide array of real estate tax matters, including tax objections in the circuit court, assessment appeals before the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board, actions seeking awards from the Cook County Indemnity Fund as well as other cases filed in the Law and Chancery Divisions of the Circuit Court and appeals before the Illinois Appellate Court. Ben graduated from the DePaul University College of Law, and he obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign.
